Facility Support Assistant

One Community Health has an immediate opening for a full time Facility Support Assistant. Under the direction of the Facilities Director, the Facilities Support Assistant is responsible for the proper collection and distribution of mail, materials and supplies to all locations, performing hands-on maintenance services as needed. Responsible for life safety check at offsite clinic location. 

Essential Functions:

  • Pick-up incoming mail and interoffice mail from all location and deliver
  • Drive to make other pick-ups and/or deliveries as needed
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance at all offsite locations to include but not limited to: painting, window washing, replacing fixtures and bulbs. Reporting any safety hazards to the Facilities Team
  • Maintain supply area and other assigned areas in a clean and orderly manner.
  • Assists with disaster recovery and emergency preparedness procedures
  • Assists with fire life safety inspections
  • Perform other special assignments as required.
  • Contact landlord, or vendor to maintenance of equipment.
  • Regular and consistent attendance is required to continue the high standard of customer service
  • Mechanical abilities
  • Lite Carpentry skill
  • Use of a variety of hand and power tools
  • Responds promptly and accurately to both internal and external customers' requests for information and coordinates appropriate follow-up
  • Make sound decisions based on balanced consideration of facts, priorities, resources, constraints and alternatives
  • Good communication skills (written, verbal), to effectively explain process and/or procedures and interpret policy to customers.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to organize responsibilities, managing competing demands and able to deal with change, delays or unexpected events managing workflow and use time efficiently prioritizing to meet tight deadlines
  • Monitors work for accuracy and quality demonstrating a passion for excellence in every aspect of work
  • Develops and maintains relationships with, employees and external contacts and maintains alignment with core values, vision, strategy and goals.
  • Able to effectively work independently, with colleagues and in teams and thrive in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment
  • Demonstrates initiative, creativity and resourcefulness in problem solving and the pursuit of resolution and overall goals
  • Identifies customer needs and proactively addresses issues

Education/Experience Required:

  • Minimum one year experience in a facility maintenance field, janitorial or a combination of related experience
  • Healthcare, FQHC experience preferred.
